Sinking pellets. They aren't as messy as flakes and since they sink the fish don't suck in as much air, which can cause them to have problems with their swim bladder.

Here are 2 good brands of sinking pellets,

Both are good but flake food tends to go to the bottom of the tank before they can eat all of it.Get the pellet food that floats what they don't eat all of it within a few min you can remove the rest.

Flake food or pellet food either is a good type of food to feed your fish.

I have 4 goldfish and I have kept them alive for a year, they are fat and strong. And I feed them flake food. You can buy goldfish food or Tetra food at wal mart for them. The tetra flakes have a better brighter colour, and it's good for the fish, and makes their skin brighter and prettier. Go for flakes! :-)

They are both good, but flake food leftovers can cause the water to get cloudy.

I always used Sinking pellets because the fish have fun chasing them as they sink and falkes made my water very couldy if the fish didn't eat the.
