Ever heard of the Serenity Prayer?
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change
the courage to change the things I can
and the wisdom to know the difference.
In other words, we can't control the actions and thoughts of other people and we should accept that fact and not dwell upon what other people do and what we think they think about us.
We can control the way we react to life, especially important is the way we react to things outside our own control, which is almost everything.
Eventually, we strive to gain the wisdom to know God's Will for us in our life.
Also: let go and let God.

Well if it has to do with people in your live I say take a break from them. This whole month I had left my cell phone off, which was really a nice break from everyone, which I really needed.
And if its stress : Take a nice warm bubble bath. It realy works!! PLus the weather is super cold so that will be a nice little break.

Make something nice, like wellness, shopping, traveling and going out. Not sitting home and get more depressed. Also talk with your good friend, what's going on. Not carrying the problems with you all the time.

Remove your attention from your troubles as you feed them with your attention, thereby giving life. Starve your troubles (by withholding your attention) and they will shrivel and go away. This is a universal truth.

Sometimes by answering questions, like I'm doing now.
But mostly by being alone. You get to think quietly and by yourself.

Praying to a higher power doesn't seem to work so I drink a 40-ouncer.

I think of Shree Hanuman, and look at how our heroes (Ramaji, freedom fighters, etc) did not let troubles overcome them.

No one can free them self.
You must work through them.
If it is self help, counseling, or medication,
there is a way.
Don't ever give up.
