Being a stroke maker.he is better off on batsman friendly wickets. So if he finds one in the earlier part of a tour he clicks and that enhances his confidence, then he is able to manage even on difficult wickets.
In South Africa even Spring bocks were struggling..No wonder he could not find his feet.

It is his technique, primarily his lack of footwork that brings him undone. If it is a flat pitch or the ball is moving around, then its OK, he can just hit thru the line of the ball. If the ball is seaming around, he is in trouble, as the ball will move around and either take the edge, or come back to bowl him thru the gate. If he learnt to move his feet more, he could rack up some impressive numbers.
You also get the impression with Viru that his mind is not always on the job, i think a bit of mental discipline would also help immensely.

No hes an excellent opening batsmen and can really hammer the new cricket ball. However Sehwag is a reflex batsmen and as u get older ur reflexes become slower, so i think that is the amin reasin.
