Hi there;

Sounds like electrical interference. Have you moved any electrical device ( phones, etc.) near your monitor lately? If so move it away and see what happens.
Also have you checked to make sure your refresh rate is correct? Though a faulty refresh rate will mean a constant flicker it might be a good idea to check that as well.
Next I would try to use the monitor on another system to see if the problem reoccurs. If not then the issue has been narrowed down to your system settings. Go from there.
If using the monitor on another system is not a possibility then you may want to degauss your monitor more often (if there is no electrical interference.)

Check to make sure the cable is firmly connected between the computer and the monitor. If it is, then try wiggling it and seeing if the monitor flickers, if so then your cable is bad. If it's one that's detachable on BOTH ends then get a new cable. Otherwise you will need to buy a new monitor. If both of those don't solve it, look around and see what recently has changed in the computer's enviroment, could anything be interfering with the monitor? Lastly it may be just a junky monitor and it could just be in it's dying throws.

It could be going bad or you might be getting a power fluctuation in you house.. The monitor is the first way to notice that.
