im doing my 8th grade science fair i really need help with my research question!! my question is does a placement of a plant effect its growth????? i not sure what kind of plant im doin yet!! cuz i need 2 answer this question i need 2 do a month of data colletion.....my plant is 2 put a group of plant outside...a group of plants inside...and a group of plants in hthe dark...and i need 2 see wat plants will live!! so if any body can help me thanks!

Yes, it does. Since you have a limited time to do your project, if I were you I'd do rye grass seeds.

As a former bio teacher I can tell you that many factors (temp, amount of light, color of light, moisture, soil composition, etc.) all influence plant growth. To get meaningful data make sure you have only one variable (factor) at a time so that you can show a direct cause and effect relationship. If starting from seed, you might consider tobacco seeds; they are very small and germinate in less than a week. You might also use google to search for specific procedures to follow by trying "plant experiments" or "botany experiments" or some other similar phrase. Good luck

If the plant is outside where plenty of sunlight can get to it, the plant will grow faster because the sun is like it's energy.

If you put the plants inside it will grow and a median rate because it doesn't get as much sunlight. But it won't grow as fast as it would outside.

If the plant is in the dark, it will eventually die because it has no sunlight so there's no energy for it.
