When using GBA games on a DS can you still utilise the touch screen.?

I'm trying to find the catch because GBA games are much cheaper than DS. In particular I am thinking of buying 'catz' and 'horsez' so the touch screen aspect is important.

absolutely not

the touch screen has to be part of the game when they make it. no gameboy advance game will have touch screen capabilities, because they are not made for the DS. no gba game will ever be made that can use the touch screen. if they plan on making a game that can use the touch screen, they will make it for the DS. if they made it for the gba, and it had dual screen capabilities, it could not be played on an actual gameboy advance, as they only have one screen

the catch? the catch is the gameboy advance is a different system, and we're lucky to be able to play gba games, even if not gbc and gb games, on our DS's. the reason gameboy advance games work on a DS is because the DS has two game engines. one for DS games, and one for GBA games.

gba games are cheaper sometimes, because they are older. they are not always cheaper. brain age for DS debut at 19.99 - where final fantasy V advance came out for the gba at 34.99, AFTER brain age for the DS came out

No, as far as I am aware.

I've got a DS and tried an old Spyro GBA on it, the touch screen is just black with no use at all.

I'm not too sure about the newer GBA games that have been released since the DS came out.

Mind you, Nintendo probably want you to spend more money so I doubt they would give the GBA games touch screen ability.

No you can't use the touch screen for regular GBA games on the DS.

the touch screen can only be used on the ds games.you have to use the arrows when playing a gba game on a ds
