Do some people create avatars to look as they wished they looked and not what they really look like? Then seemingly start to believe it themselves?

Personally, as far as looks go - no. But I have come to realise that my avatar best reflects my mindset. I can give answers as curt, biting but also humorous, educated as I choose next to an avatar like that. It is anonymous enough, not sexually charged and not intimidating - and funny! Have you noticed that the same question looks different next to a different picture?

I have changed my avatar several times and I think I will keep changing it. Why? Because it's fun!
My first avatar - I tried to make it look like me as much as possible.
My second avatar - I tried to make it look similar to me.
My third avatar - was less similar to me and I didn't care if it didn't look like me.
My fourth avatar - I decided that I should have fun with it and so it has blue hair, which I would never do in real life.
My next avatar maybe won't look like me at all and will be as wild as possible - here's to the future and to my imagination!
Ah, I forgot to answer your question - no, I don't believe that I even really looked like the first avatar which was most similar to me. It's impossible for an avatar to really look like you especially if you are not young.

I think ppl make their Avatars in the likeness of themselves. You try to keep the Avatar around the same color. Same hair style if possible and have the same type of clothing and accessories you wear. So mine does look like me.

some honestly resemble their avatars type of even as others haven't any connection in any respect. My source is xbox 360 humorous eh? It has some thing referred to as avatars. and that i have a set of highshcool freinds who've stay who do resemble themselves.

i do look like mine....except my eyebrows are both pierced...as for the rest of my avatar's body..that doesnt look like mine, and i always wear a bracelet of some kind, which wasnt an option for the avatar

I am who I am. I can't be something I am not. I am not one to put on airs like some do here. I went to a lot of trouble to make sure my hair was perfect before I even took the picture for it.

well i don`t know if some people do it...but think its better to make your avatar look as closely as possible to yourself so that it reflects your personality and physical appearance
And that u don`t lie to yourself pretending to be otherwise than what you really are
