and smaller as life goes on ? I find that most friends are so jealous of one another, such a shame

thats too bad to hear. I went on before the rest of mine, when I came back they were gone or 'not speaking terms' to one another over some petty bs or another...what the hell is that anyways? all the guys turned into a bunch of ninnies and handmaidens to their docking station's will.
eventually they all move on, i guess they felt abandonned by me first. so much for guys night out or even just getting together to watch a game or barbeque.
I honestly thought in this lifetime but no, thats stuff for 20 somethings I suppose, they start popping out kids and the responsibilities and priorities they are always racing to keep up with goes along with that.
I suppose life is just change and you need to roll with it. Remember the good times for what they were and do not fret your current state for what it can be instead.
the last thing i want to end up is one of these people that kills himself working to make the wonderful party house and just always working for this abomination that would fuel a former glory of social life and dreaming of having company. so i just travel instead.

I've actually noticed a different pattern. My circle of friends has always been roughly 10-15 individuals, with hundreds of acquaintances. Of course, my definition of a friend may differ from yours.

well, maybe if u see that a friend of yours doesn't have that happy life maybe u would think first before yapping your happiness and quantity of money? i am not jealous, but it is so boring when your life cracks on 2 and some dumb friend is yapping about what diamond ring her bf got her and what nice trip to miami she just got. i will eliminate this kind of friend without any regreat

It gets smaller if you allow it to shrink. That is why we have to constantly be on the lookout for new, potential friends -- not necessarily close ones either -- casual friends are also important.

and notice that having 1 real friend is better than having lots of jealos ones .

Very True.... When I got pregnant "most" of my friends stopped calling. No more smokin or drinkin for me...so they bailed. I'm s0rry!!! But, you'll know who your true friends are...they stick around no matter what.
