Is bare minerals a good makeup product?

For the money, NO, and too many steps! I discovered MAC Studio Fix compact - a great powder foundation with really natural-looking cover-up that you can find in most department stores, i.e. Macy's. It costs around $25, but it lasts long - I've been using it for about 9 months.

They have many different shades - I'm sure there's one for you!

Yes it is. It doesn't clog your pores, you control the coverage, and it has an SPF 15.
I've been wearing it for 4 years and I have oily skin, dark circles under my eyes and broken capillaries. It covers the issues that I have without looking cakey or heavy.
If you're near either a Bare Escentuals boutique or a Sephora, stop in and check it out. Both carry a starter kit which runs $60-75. It has 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil, 3 brushes, bare vitamins skin rever upper and an instructional DVD.
Give it a try you have nothing to lose except the time it took you to get it, try it and if you don't like it return it.
It may take you a couple of days getting used to putting it on. I know I did. I was used to seeing my foundation on my face that I used way to much the first 3 days. If you decide to get it make sure you watch the DVD and play with it. I would suggest doing 1 said of your face so you can see the difference, plus you'll realize that it doesn't take much to get the coverage you want.

Yes! I use it all the time itz about 80$ for the entire set and it last months! I been having the same cases for months and i still have more for a month or two more! Itz awsome man! Buy it, and ur skin will not react bad unless u have a spefic alergic reaction! Its a wonderful make-up and blends into you skin, u use your color skin first then a dark red the your skin tone again! It will blend and look like a natural blush cheeks! My cheeks are alway big red and beautiful! Use it! Itz an awsome project! If u are worried that it is gonna be a horrible investment trust me, it will be the best investment you would have ever made, and if you do not like the make-up u can return it! Buy once and if you like it buy it again, if not dont.
This make-up look good will a light lip gloss and bare mineal make up! Nothing more and u will look naturaly beautiful!!!! Try it! You will abosoulutly LOVE IT!

Well I was never taught how to put on makeup, so I'm horrible at it. Bare minerals is the only thing I've ever been able to get to look right. So in my opinion yes it is. Not only is it easy to work with but you can't even feel it on your face!

Bare minerals is an excellent makeup product for older females because it doesn't have all those shiny materials that are in all of the other makeup products out there that sit in the creases in your face that make your makeup looked caked on. Excellent makeup!!!!!!

I don't know. I was researching it, when I came cross you guys. Who knows make up better that the ones that wear it. --- And don't have a professional to apply it. Or be paid to sell it. I am so sick of seeing all these rock/movie stars talk about these product like they saved there lives. But, I do know that it is expensive, and that the $5 bottle of foundation that I buy every 6 months looks pretty good when pricing this stuff out, ever if my skin breaks out. If you get any answers, you have any suggestion ~PLEASE let me know, have puberty skin at 30 is total crap!

It can be a bit shiny.
