I'm thinking about getting a job there while I'm in college. I'm going to be a package handler in the warehouse. 3-5 hours a week @ 9/hr...

Package handling is a really tough job. If you can survive it, Fedex has a really good tuition reimbursement program. Btw, the moment you can qualify to get promoted to DPS, Delivery or any other easier job.... definitely apply for it right away or at least express verbal interest in it. Get out of package handling as soon as you can.

Sounds good, but remember your studies come before work! Restaurant work (where you get tips) might give you more money per hour and most restaurants work with students' class and other schedules.

I have know a few people who have worked for them and it is not easy work. You will be lifting alot of stuff. Some heavy. But they do make good money. If you can become one of them that delivers, you can make even more money. I say go for it!
