Good question! I myself go to school during the week and work on the weekends, but it's hard to not burn yourself out. Your still gonna want some "Me Time." But remember, school is the most important thing in your life right now. Try getting a weekend job and when you do be sure to let them know you are a student and that is your priority. As for school, I wouldn't go to school so many days. It's killer. Can't you just go for two. I go Tue/Thur and work on the weekends, and believe me, it helps to get that extra day to rest. If your motivated enough, I suggest taking internet classes. If your school does not offer any you could always take them at another school online and then transfer them over. It's not as hard as you think! There are some big known ones like Devry University or the University of Phoenix Online, but you'll be suprised to know that your local community college probably offers them for half the cost. Good luck! and when you start to feel burnt out, take a vacation from work (they should understand since they know your situation.)

that really depends on your own personal style. some people would rather get everything out of the way and then be able to have the weekend off, somepeople need a break in the middle. I have done both, and both have suited me at different times. though I do say your body may need the rest of going to bed early on that night, especially if you aren't doing it any other night. but if by taking the night off, you mean going downtown and partying, like so many college kids do, probably not a good idea to make a habit of it every week.

let me get this straight--- you go to school 18 hours a week and lets say you put in 6 hours in a hocky league on thursdays, and work only on the weekend??

Lets see here:

high school athletes go to school between 350 - 40 hours a week, practice thier sport for at least a couple hours a day, and then some of them still have a job on the weekends and sometimes after practices. and yet they do not burn out.

people who balance both a career and a home life, work at least 40 hours, put in countless hours with kids and home work, and then there is housework, yardwork, spouse time, pets and it gets more time consuming if there is an infant in the house---welcome to my life ---

and YOU are worried about burn out???

Yes that is a very good idea. Everyone needs some time away from the hectic schedule of life.

I think it all comes down good time management. I've done schedules that have had classes every day, and others that only had two days worth of classes. They all worked well, as long as I stuck to my schedule of planned breaks and planned study time.

Yes, it will be some sort of respite for you. Try it for several days and if it does not work out, then adjust your schedule accordingly.
