Maybe. Why can't you find someone else that's totally unrelated to your best friend?

well personally Ive always thought that type of sharing was icky. but if she is okay with it I'd say that you should still stay away if want to preserve the friendship...unless its been like years and years since they dated. honestly people hide residual feelings for ex lovers all the time. sometimes you didn't even realize you still have a urning for your ex until you see them with someone else, or especially with someone you know. Your friend could spontaneously change her mind and decide she's into him again. And that goes both ways. Why enter into a relationship with a guy that may be daydreaming about hooking back up with your friend, for a night, for a week, or whatever, just thinking the thought is bad enough. So i say stay away from a volatile situation. Just cause she says OK, doesn't mean the situation is going to end up okay. more than likely just the opposite. Plus, come on, really, there are so many freakin guys out there probably tons of hidden diamonds in the rough right under your nose, pick a guy who doesn't know your friend intimately. ick

Why did they break up? Is she really OK with it or just saying that, I mean was the break up nasty so that you won't be able to bring him around her. Did he mistreat her and will he do the same to you? How would you feel in the same situation? If you feel good with all the answers go for it.

Depends on how long they were together and why they broke up.
And if you want him more than you want to be friends with your friend.Cause eventually it could come back to bite you in the behind.

if she says that she doesnt care, then she really does, but my girlfriend and my ex are in that situation, so all you really have to do, is go out with him, if shes really your best friend, she'll let you go out with him, and be happy. now i just wish my exs would do that
