Do you think they should have equal rights, like straight people do? Are you against gay marriage? What's your view on the subject?

I'm not gay myself, but I have a friend who recently came out as being gay, and some of my friends are not happy about it, so it's caused some tension. Some people have really strong opinions about it.

Don't you think that EVERYONE should have equal rights?

I don't believe that homosexuality is what we, as people were created for. That said, I believe that gay people already have equal rights. I don't see any violation of their rights. They have free speech and they use it frequently, They are able to get educations, health-care, earn money, own property. They are not imprisoned for being gay, or tortured. They can vote (following the same rules as the rest of us of course).
Now, when it comes to marriage, I disagree. It is not a right, as far as the government goes, is it? They are actually trying to redefine the word marriage so that it includes same sex marriage. I can't stand the thought of one more word being butchered just to make someone ''feel' better. There is way too much hand-holding in the world. All someone need do is complain that they were offended by whatever, and everyone runs PC scared to 'fix' it.
I have nothing against people that are homosexual. I know some nice gay folk. Some jerks too. But if we're going to make gay rights special, then I as a fat woman would also like some special rights too. Gay is as much a choice as fat is.

I feel that they should be treated that same!! I judge people on how they treat me, How the treat the community they live in, I would rather live in a community full of gays, then in a community full of rapist, murders, sexual predators, drug lords, etc etc. Being gay is not contagious, It's there choice, and from what I see most of them want a life, and to be left alone!!! Yes equal Right to all human kind!!! I am not gay myself, But I have gay friends, and they have help me out and been there for me, when I needed it the most. They are people, the only difference is and should be is behind closed doors. The only thing I don't like are the gay whores, but I don't like seeing prostitutes on street corners either!!!

I think they deserve equal rights. To me saying gay people shouldn't have rights is like saying black people shouldn't have rights. It's all very ridiculous. Let them be who they are and just shut up about it. About gay marriage, personally it's not going to change MY life, just like it's not going to affect the people who are against it's life. I have a gay uncle that's married, and I think it's great, they're in love so why can't they get married?

Live life and let life live.
Have a nice day :)

I think gay people are born gay. I don't believe it to be a choice- I think there's no difference between being gay or not gay or having blue eyes or brown hair.

I think if they are able to find someone that loves them and that they love and want to make a lifelong commitment to, then they should be allowed to do so. There are straight couples that marry for all the wrong reasons. If it was the "sanctity" of marriage that the State was concerned with preserving, then they would better screen the thousands of marriages every year that happen the last week of December-conveniently before tax time.

I think if a gay couple wants to provide a loving home to a child that would otherwise spend it's young existence in a foster home with people only caring for it because they're getting a check, then by all means let them do so. Little girls have daddies. Little boys have mommies. Not every little girl and boy winds up molested or raped by a parent simply because they happen to be of the opposite sex. To say gay people would molest any children they have is ridiculous. Slag mothers bring step fathers and boyfriends into their homes every year to rape and molest and sometimes murder their children. It's the straight men feeding off of single mothers that this world needs to stop and think about.

If one of my daughters tells me someday that she's gay, I can't promise I won't cry for her because this world is cruel and cold and I'll be sorry for all she'll have to face out in it. I won't cry because I'm disappointed in her, though, and she can bring home anyone she wants just so long as they treat her right.

um well I have a lot of gay friends and they are just people you know. I mean I don't know about all that gay against marriage and stuff like that because I don't like to get into that really but they are really cool. I mean I don't judge them are anything. They are just being THEM. It is what they are and they can't change it if there life depended on it.

Personally, I have no problem with gay people. I don't agree with the person being gay because you're supposed to be attracted to the opposite sex, but I don't have anything against the person. I know a couple people who are gay, and one is one of my closest friends. I don't like the idea of gay marriage, but who's to say they can't get married......if that's what makes them happiest, so be it.

Well...i'll try to be sincere.
I have NOTHING against the gay, BUT i hate and i'm discusted to see them kissing in public..it's discusting.

Thank god all my friends are straight..

About their rights....I think they should stop imposing themselves in society..and i think Society shoud Ban the Gay marriages, and moreover ADOPTIONS!!!

Tell me what good brings a gay marriage? What can a 4year old learn from two men ...who's mumy and who's daddy???

I would BE ashamed to have gay parents...

So, i think we're on the good way...anyway there's little space left on the Planet Earth, and the nativity is low anyway...

So i think Gay people should not exagerate..and should NOT ask for those rights Straight people have.

My oppinion.

Whatever makes them happy. I have many gay friends, they are all just wonderful. I'm straight myself, but I still feel they should have equal rights, just like everyone else. Dah.

The question had been asked from many points of view. One being is God male or female and another how can God be all knowing of both. I do think the question may have been asked at a time when much of life was being created and flesh gave the answer in the bodies of the people. this is the only view i can see this picture from. thanks for the Q.
