Many different issues come in to play. 1. Acting mature and being mature are not necessarily the same thing. 2. People are having children later in life, and so generally an older parent will raise a more mature child since they are learning from a more mature person, than, for example a 22 year old. 3. In the modern era, young people are able to see and mimick the entire world around them rather than just their own personal surroundings.

I really think it's the way they're raised, and the media. Also, older siblings seem to play a large role in the way that chldren develop and how mature they are. My eldest daughter was mature from an early age, and assumed the role of helping my second child. For this reason my second child was more dependant on her, and less mature until an older age. But, no matter what children will be children. =)

we get much more nutrients than people did generations ago, so the body is stronger and can afford to enter puberty at an earlier age. schooling is also better. some people may say that it's the hormones in the food, but there have been many studies done that say that the levels that get into and stay in them and get to us are less than 1%

A healthier diet although things have not change that much.I matured at 9 years and years ago.

i think the average age for getting your period is about the same as it was when i was little so i dont think its changing much, kids just dress and act older because of tv and such.
