Because it's a more sneaky way to give their friends your money, you will squawk less and hate Indians more than if they were to raise your tax instead.

Big business wants more profit even if it means putting Americans (there previous customer base) out of work.

Bettysdad" (above) has it essentially correct. Here's the "official" answer: by outsourcing your job overseas, big business saves money, which enables it to invest in more infrastruction, provide better products and enable us consumers to buy more goods at a lower cost. The problem with this answer, which has been enthusiastically (once might even say, "religiously") promoted by laissez-faire economists, conservative politicians and a few extremely ignorant American citizens, is that it is completely fraudulent, as every single objective (i.e. non-Republican think tank) study has proven. (Quick, folks, after approximately 26 years of 'trickle-down economics', has your cost of living gone up or down?) The TRUE answer is that by shipping your job overseas, the fat cats that run the corporations are able to pocket the savings, making then much wealthier than they already were--which was INCREDIBLY wealthy. So unless you happen to work in one of the small "ponds" in which the fat cats put their money (stocks, Rolls-Royces, Bahamas real estate, Lear jets, offshore banking accounts, etc.), then you will get screwed. That's why the top 5% of the American public is making out like bandits and the rest of us are being raped. That's also why it doesn't matter how hard you work or how honest you are, you are going to be raped. The system is consciously and meticulously designed to channel all the money to the top; this will not change until intelligent (i.e. non-conservative) Americans demand a complete overhaul of our political and economic structures. It won't be easy, because the corporate fat-cats that run the system are the same ones who largely determine the political candidates. But we have no choice but to make the struggle.

US government can't do anything about it. This is a free market country. A business can up and leave if they want. Those jobs are gone forever. I don't think the US Government can impose heavier taxes on them if those former American companies try to bring their goods here from some of those countries. Blame the Unioins who take your money from your paycheck but don't protect your job when there's massive layoffs. Blame it on the lobby groups who want higher minimum wages which causes American jobs to go to the cheap Third World countries.

Thank God there are still corporations/manufacturers like Harley-Davidson, who believe in American workers with American skills.

The comparative cost advantage of outsourcing business to low-wage countries such as China or India, where unit labor costs in manufacturing are 20 percent lower than in the U.S., are often not the bargain they seem when wages are adjusted for low productivity.

Add to that the fact that American customers are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with having to talk to East Indians with poor language skills and heavy accents for tech assistance, and this trend could be peaking in some ways.

why would you want It back. Something doesn't sound right here. The government can't stop free enterprise from doing what ever they want with where they want to locate. At least not yet. But give them a minute or two.

Our government works for the benefit of businessmen, not workers.

Whatever allows a business to make more money is fine.

the government regulates and licenses a great form of provider vendors to maintain the usually used public risk-free. did no longer you already know that? eating places, hair dressers, attorneys, pilots, electricians, instructors, and so on all could desire to fulfill particular standards. Its uncommon to prohibit interest.

Because we are not a socialist country where the government controls every facet of the economy.... yet. That yet being the reason why jobs are being outsourced.
