Hands down Taurian "Air Up There" Fontenette. Everybody is saying Michael, don't get me wrong, he was a good dunker. But he can't pull of half the things the Air Up There does. I've seen him live at an And 1 game where he pulled off his 360 between the leg. Not to mention he was the first and only person to do a 720 dunk. How can you not say this guy isn't the best dunker. How many guys can pull of these dunks. I don't think Michael could've.

This question is not fair. Each dunker is different. I can argue that it is Spud Webb since he was 5' 7" or nate robinson since his 5'9" and they both won the slam dunk contest. What about Shawn Kemp and D. Wilkins? Everyone is going to say Jordan cause he was the best player but I dont remember Jordan dunking on 7'2" centers when he was in the Dream Team. Dunking is more on opinion since you cant back it up with stats no one judges each time somone dunks. Me personally I think its vince carter, he posterized all the big men in the game. The dunk he had on the Dream Team alone makes him the best dunker. When you literally jump over someone thats 7'2" that says something.

Michael Jordan was an overated dunker. I think the best dunker ever was Clyde Drexler. Clyde Drexler was also one of the most underated players in NBA history. If Clyde didn't share the same era with Michael "ballhog Jordan he would be known by a lot more people.

This is a tough one. Jordan is the default answer, but during that time when the dunk contest was a big deal, there were some studs out there. Larry Nance, Dominique, Vince Carter, even Spud Webb.

I would go with Carter, just for that sick facial he put on that dude in the Olympics that year. Here are some of his sick azz throw-downs:

Jordan or Wilkins.

The And1 guy who did the "720" was impressive but it wasn't even a 720, it was more like a 540. Before he even jumped he rotated his body more than 180 and then completed the rest of the spin. It still looked cool as hell but I wouldn't call it a 720.

this dude above me is such an idiot (probably a lakers fan aka team with the most luck ever) micheal jordan gets all thsi crap for being a "ballhog" he was not he just knew when to take over games and if you were even around to see his games or tapes u would see plenty of assists but anyways...some person above me said it was the"air up there" theyre wrong cuz hes playin and1 ball not in the nba so hes not even an honorable mention but to get back to the question...vinsanity is right up there with mj and dr j

Vince Carter. I've never seen anyone else jump OVER a 7 foot defender and have the disregard and temerity to dunk.

Muggsey Bogues. Awesome dunker, especially when you consider his puny size.
