Hahaha! We all are getting this. I'm a senior as well.

Comes down to two things: Senioritis and being ready for college/work

Basically, you've done most of what you are going to need to get into college, or been accepted, or are already looking for a job. Because of this, your senior year just doesnt really matter anymore.

If you want to counteract this, try to go for scholorships of some kind, or think of it that if you don't do what you have to do for school you may get fired from your job.

If you convince yourself that you need to do it for something, you will have some sort of motivation.

Probably because you don't see the point of whatever it is they're teaching. Use the Internet to find out how take what is being taught and use it for something real. If you can't figure out what that could possibly be for some subjects ask here or other places online or contact me and I'll help you.

Another reason you may be tired of school is that it is boring to you. Many students think the problem is that their classes are "too hard" when what is REALLY wrong is that they're too easy! (Anything boring seems hard because you don't want to do it in the first place.)

If you had classes that challenged you to learn something that was interesting to you school would be a lot more fun. Some instructors will let you be creative with how you learn. If you have any of those give some thought to selecting projects that incorporate your interests.

You may even have teachers who would allow you to substitute something more interesting for the usual assignment or will let you do extra credit projects that you're passionate about that will allow you to learn more.

Other ways to make school more interesting are to tutor others or to request advanced classes, entry into the gifted program, or college level courses. Many gifted programs allow students to select what they want to work on instead of doing the same tired assignments.

While not all instructors will be receptive, you may find you have some that would love to have a student who is interested enough to be creative with their learning.

If your doing the work and passing your grades I wouldn't worry to much. If your failing your courses it could be a different story. The reality it that with high school coming to an end there a finality to it all and your ready to move onto the next stage of life. The big question is, with school ending for you soon, have you made plans for your future and become motivated for more learning in a college or university environment? You will find learning more challenging in these realms and hopefully motivate your learning juices and enthusiasm for the next stage of your life. Another reality is in high school the teachers teach to the average level required of most students and sometimes can lack differentiation. Which means challenging social loafers, such as yourself, to work to a harder level than others in your class. Write out your life plan and find out what it will take to get there. What is your career going to involve? Go talk to the people doing what you want to do in your future. Volunteer to work a shift for four hours to see what they have to do everyday. Overall, get up, get out, get motivated! Good Luck!

You should try to find some Divine Inspiration. When I was in my final year, I needed some inspiration to get a distinction. So, every single morning I will play out the song "Can't take that Away" by Mariah Carey loudly from my computer and this ignite some kind of unexplainable energy that boost up my motivation and finally I became one of the best students at my university.

The problem is you are ceasing to CONSTANTLY create an effect, rather, you are more willing to be the effect of something. Laziness is an appearancy of what is the actual truth. Remedy- find more problems to solve, not try and find less to do.

I am a freshman and I am pretty lazy myself! xD any ways, you only have one year left. ONE YEAR. it's not that bad. All you have to do is work hard for the next...what? half of the year? Geez. Suck it up and do your homework already.

You might be depress or maybe you do not have any immediate goals to pursue right after graduation. Find some goals to pursue. You are so young to waste your youth.
