My wife started bleeding heavily almost a month ago (around her regular cycle). The blood was dark and associated with a tissue like discharge that look almost like liver. She hasn't had any cramping and the bleeding settled down so she isn't overly concerned but I am. Today she is still bleeding lightly but it is a brighter red. Any help would be appreciated.

endometriosis and myoma are possibilities. i know that it is a remote possibility but we also have to consider cancer. your wife needs an ob/gyne consult right away

The tissue-like-liver discharge sounds like clots, which can be normal with a period. But if this is abnormal for her, and she's been bleeding for a month, it does sound like a miscarriage. She may need a D&C done to remove the tissue and stop the bleeding. Usually there is a lot of cramping with a miscarriage, though. She really should go see her gynecologist because there are a lot of things that can cause abnormal bleeding in women, and none of them are ever good things!

She should go to the doctor ASAP. It could be that she had a miscarriage. You didn't say how old she is. Could she be pre-menopausal?

This isn't something that you sould be saying "wait and see" about. It could be something serious.

it sounds to me like she has had a miscarriage. i'd contact the doctor asap to make sure it isn't anything that needs medical attention.
