Most miscarriages happen before 13 weeks of pregnancy.

The first 12 weeks are usually the ones people worry about the most. That is probably why a lot of people don't tell anyone they are pregnant until the third month. If it is a first baby some miscarry without even knowing they are pregnant. After 12 weeks it is called stillbirth. According to statistics on line 20 percent of pregnancies result in miscarriage in the first 12 weeks. Try not to worry about these things, check your family history on miscarriages cause sometimes that can indicate problems. My philosophy is, if you miscarry there may have been something wrong with the baby and it is better off not suffering in life. The more you dwell on things like this the less you will enjoy your pregnancy. Good luck and above all cherish being pregnant, it is a fantastic experience. I have three children.

Approximately 15 to 20% of all pregancies end in miscarriage. Although miscarriage can happen any time before 20 weeks, most take place in the first twelve weeks of pregnancy. We do know that miscarriage is NOT something which the mother has caused to happen. There is no treatment which can prevent a miscarriage once it has started. Most women who miscarry can conceive in the future and carry that pregnancy to term.

I don't want to frighten you but it can happen at any time during pregnancy but there is a much higher risk up to about 16 weeks as the foetus has not fully formed and also the placenta has not fully formed to protect the foetus. my advice would be just to be careful with yourself all the way through. Good luck keep calm as much as possible and enjoy...

1st-12 weeks is the most risky i think. After that miscarriage is less likely and not heard of too much but still possible.
