So it's a free program that you download and I haven't seen any ads on it. Yet they pay money to advertise free poker websites on TV, so they wouldn't do it unless it was profitable. How do they make money off the free poker websites?

they make their money by advertising and also they count on the fact that most people after a while on the free part will switch over to the real money section where they get their cut from each pot. usually people start to feel confidant after they feel that they have gotten to know the game so they figure why not chance a little bit of money to make it more interesting.
