When you take a bath, it allows your skin to soften and fully slough off all the dead skin cells still clinging to you. You will get more clean by soaking in the tub.

However, if you're concerned that you're climbing out of "dirty" water and therefore think you are still dirty, take a rinse-off shower after you've finished soaking to sluice off the bath water and all the rest.

If I am going to take a long soak, I shower off before and after. Probably a bit over the top. I think showers are for getting clean. Baths ar for relaxing.

Well in my opinion , taking a shower after you've just taken a bath would be wasting water.

Your not soaking in dirty water if u have a bath.
If you use soap ( which I'm sure you do ) , well soap kills dirt and germs and stuff so there's no dirt in the water for you to soak in.

Baths are relaxing but showers are way more hygienic.

you are just soaking in your own filth in a bath.

depends on how you mean "sanitary." if you mean "sterile", unless you spray it with iodine every day it's not going to happen. if you mean. 'relatively free of disease causing germs' then you are probably good. Even before you turn on the water your tub likely has billions of perfectly harmless bacteria and fungi in it that actually do a lot of good by crowding out the tiny fraction of the bad bugs. You can't get rid of them, and you probably can't live without them, so why worry. And remember, the most fiendish, devastating, and terrible weapon against disease causing organisms mankind has ever conceived is called soap and water.

bath's wont get you as clean as showers. you are soaking in your own "dirt." but, it will still get you cleaner than you were before, and soap still helps to get oil and bacteria off of your skin.
