I'm looking for something that suits the softer side of my personality.
I'm trying to go for something that can generally be considered warm and romantic. I've worn Curve for quite a while and only like the "drydown" scent. The initial scent of Curve is too strong and tangy, and I only like it after having worn it a few hours.

I want something sweet, romantic, warm, comfortable, reassuring. All that fuzzy good stuff, but still NOT girly, if that's at all possible.

As far as I've searched, I THINK I'm looking for something woodsy, but I'm not sure.

Also, though I'm 17, I'd like to think of my personality as somewhat more weathered and experienced, if that helps in the selection process.

For like a soft but still masculine cologne scent, try Obsession by Calvin Klein or even Perry Ellis.....trust me.

My best friend and her fiance collect cologne and perfume, so I make frequent shopping trips with them and have probably smelled 99% of the cologne out there. Personally, (I'm a 20 year old woman) I love:

1. Armani Acqua di Gio. This one smells good no matter what the occasion, and it is NOT fruity nor strong. It's very pleasant when it first hits you and it seems to last a long time. This would be my #1 choice.

2. Salvatore Ferragamo Cologne. I love this brand; they make excellent perfume for women, and the men's cologne is wonderful. It's rich and pleasant, and you won't smell like everyone else. It's very distinct.

3. Polo Double Black. If you're looking for a "warm" cologne, I'd go with this one. It's very spicy smelling, and it doesn't seem to wear off quickly.

Stay away from colognes like Coolwater and Polo Sport; they're too girly and definately overused. If at all possible, definately visit your local department store and try out some colognes before you buy them. You don't want to spend $50 on something and find out you hate it. I hope I've given you a head start!

The d'orange verte the other guy mentioned isn't really woodsy. Hermes has another one called Terre d'Hermes. It's a warm, woodsy and citrusy (orange) scent. I think you'll like it.

I would recommend against Acqua di Gio; it's one of the most common scents out there.
