You do not want to have to deal with this kind of jealousy. Better to have this behind you. Your mother should realize this type of jealousy can only lead to problems.

Tell your mother that he broke up with you because he has jealousy issues and if HE is the one being immature it isn't worth it. I would also say that she is YOUR mom and not his so she needs to figure out what her priorities are.
