Well I can tell you something that will definitely help the cough. 4 Teaspoons of honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of brandy. If you heat it and drink it warm it's nice and it really helps. I tend to pour in some honey, lemon and a tiny brandy without being exact about the measures, but that gives you a guideline. It's amazing how wonderful it works for a cough. I use some Vick's vapor rub over the bridge of my nose and under my nose as well as around the outer edges. That's nice to open your sinus up. Good luck to you, I know it's miserable. I have to depend on natural things when I get like that. I can't take over the counter medications since I take Thyroid medication. By the way, a vaporizer or cool mist humidifier is a life saver!

Chicken Soup! Home made is the best... but the can stuff works too. Also, warm/hot honey or lemon water for the sore throat. For the ear infection take a hot (gotta be hot - not hot where it will burn you) towel and place it on and over the ear that hurts. And lots of rest! :-) Hope you feel better soon!

For your problem home remedy is the only treatment.
First go on water fast for a whole day and use warm water.
If found hungry use boiled beans with a little salt and pepper powder.
Avoid fats, oils and oily nuts, sour fruits and foods, minimum or no rice, all cold drinks and milk and its' products. Cereals and pulses (boiled or roasted) with spices is your best food. Use green vegitables and salads.
Drink a glass of warm water at morning(add salt if like) and vomit it artificially by moving your two fingers over your tongue to and fro in a half bent position. It will eliminate your cough and you will be alright within a day to three days.

Echinacea and Goldenseal will help get over it faster. Gargle warm salt water for sore throat (helps heal it as well). Humidifier or hot steamy bathroom for coughing. Warm wet washcloth over the ear will relieve some of the pain as will ibuprofen. You can buy ear drops (antibiotic) if you are sure it is infected. If your ear drum actually pops (and fluid comes out), don't put any drops or ointments in it.

You really do need to see a doctor, but a hot lemon and honey drink brings good relief for throats etc. Place the juice of 1/2 a lemon and a teaspoon of honey into a mug, fill the mug with boiling water, stir untill the honey is disolved. Then sit in a comfy chair and sip away. Don't drink it in bed. I went to sleep and burned myself with the hot drink.
