actually there really isn't, all those growing taller stuff they have on the market is a fake and they usually end up hurting you. Your genes are encoded with your max height. No matter what you do, you can't pass that unless something abnormal happens which isn't really good. So if it is encoded in your genes that you will be 5' 6'', that is all you will be. You should ask your doctor to have a growth hormone test for you to see if you have below normal levels of growth hormones. Then you might be offered growth hormones to fix that but other then that you can't get taller then your genes say. It's DnA.

Yeap...Like the two before me said i know for a surgery.What they actually do is stretch your legs and add one metal part which is long how you want it to be...I watched that on TV one boy has done it and it actually worked out for him...Now you must know that it is not so easy to do it or painless,it will hurt most certanly...And after this you will have to learn to walk again...For as much as i saw he had difficulties with walking at first when all was finished...But now he is oki...Im short too...I think im a bit higher than you but still...And i dont mind it even a bit,maybe you should try to feel good with yourself before any serious change...You know there are good sides of that,we can never hit our head while walking through the doors ;)

human growth hormone but that should be done when you are quite young, and having your leg bones sawn in two and a metal frame put on your legs that you keep screwing out three or so times a day keeping your skin streached and trying to make it longer so that your bone, as it grows back together will be forced to be longer, its going to cost about a quarter of a million dollars it hurts like hell, you are stuck with these devices for months on your legs, and by the way 5 ft 4 is not unusually short, infact thats my height. what is with being tall? makes you look like a guy.

For example, if your parents are both over 6' then there is a good chance that you can even get HGH prescribed and it can help you grow. I'm not sure if it can be prescribed anymore, but I think it can be.

yes by surgery is there for it. in this surgery the cut the thigh bone and maintain a distance of three or four inches and attach then using metal plate giving a gap. after some time the bone grows and attach to the other piece. it is painful process. afterwards they remove the metal piece. its costly too.

Try researching this process (which may actually be just a rumor) where they're actually trying to stretch out people's legs using machinary. I hear the process is painful and meant for dwarves, but it's worth a shot.

you are average/normal for an american woman. if you want to be taller wear high heels, tease your hair, and stand up tall (good posture is everything).
better than any of these? --accepting yourself for the normal, healthy person you are.
if you really want to feel good about your height, volunteer at a hospital and work with parapalegics.
