yes try herbpharm brand avena licorice compound ( a tincture)
A boyfriend of mine took it to stop smoking at my recommendation when I was allergic to his chain smoking and wound up in the emergency room (30 year smoker)..he kicked the habit and said he had no cravings for at least 5 days. When I quit in 1976 cold turkey, 3 packs a day, I had continual cravings so this is a good formula. It is the lobelia..research it on lin where it is available.

Cold turkey and sheer will power. Iquit 10 years ago and haven't had one since. Of course, if you want a little added incentive I will lend you this...I was 37 and had a massive heart attck 10 years ago. I am not over weight and I exercise regularly. Cigarettes were the major contributing factor. I decided I would ratrher live than have another. Good luck.

There are many things one can use to help them quit. However even with Nicotine Replacement such as with the patch gum or inhaler you still have to use will power to ween yourself off of the nicotine replacement. So Sheer Will power is what you will have to use no matter how you quit. It won't be easy. But once you've made up your mind to quit you will. Also I saw three friends die of lung cancer and it is not a pretty sight. I chose life.

There is a new medication out just for quitting smoking. I am going to talk to my Doctor in Feb. and hope my insurance pays for it. It sounds like it really works, and is not used for other things, just to quit smoking. Talk to your Doctor about the new drug not Zyban.

I did it eight years ago cold turkey.
You can try the patch, or Ziban, or hypnosis or acupuncture or chew on a Bic pen, or any multitude of other crutches, but ultimately your success will be determined by the strength of your resolve and your true desire to quit.
So make up your mind you really want to quit first, for yourself, not for anybody else, and then when you quit, stick to it no matter what. You can't have "just one." Just remember that.

Tell me if you find out! I have tried everything pretty much except Zyban. I am just about to begin a program called 'easystop' in Australia - going to cost me about $600, but I am desperate! Anyone else been on this program? Did it work for you?

Have a doctor tell you that you will die if you don't stop smoking when you are about to have a heart operation. That worked for me!!!
