DVD Decrypter is a great, easy to use and FREE dvd ripper program. Honestly stick the dvd in the drive...(it will auto search your cd/dvd drives when you open and close them) the dvd will pop up and it will show you all the different types of files on the right hand side (bup. nfo. vob.) You don't have to know what those mean; just select where you want the program to store the files you rip from the dvd (by clicking the file folder icon and browsing for a folder you want to store them in). Once you have the files ripped to your hard drive you will need a program to burn them. Nero 6 is great, I use clone dvd 2 made by slysoft (they also make a good program called anydvd that automatically takes off all region code and copy right data, but you must pay for this program). I don't know of any good programs to burn dvd image files for free; but like I said...clone dvd 2 is awesome; automatically compresses to fit the dvd you are burning onto and you can't even notice any compression like you can with divx. You can choose to take out extras, previews, different sound channels (french, german, etc) that you don't need; its really great.

Clone DVD 2 is way better than DVD Shrink; in both GUI and compression software. Defab Decrypter is a good one too; I actually like DVD Decrypter a little better, because it gets the job done and is simpler

ypu..there is..and ur gonna need more than one program (they are called programs..not files...files are what u end up with after u rip the dvd into ur computer)

if u want to just rip the dvd to ur comp that's really easy..but if u wanna encode it and compress so that it doesn't take up all that space...ur gonna need a DVD ripping guide....use google to find some.....

DVDFab Decrypter is the best, and DVD Decrypter is good too, then you need to have DVD Shrink to shrink them down to a 4.7 gig disk for burning purposes. Don't save them on your hard drive, just burn movies to a disk.
