Depends on the quality. Most mid to top of the line sets lasts 10-15 years. A lower quality set - max 5 years.

Well that depends on how much action you're gettin bud!! Usually if you're not buying one of those really expensive tempur-pedic mattresses, something just normal or standard....., It should last you a good three or four years. Pending you flip and rotate it every 4-6 months to minimize "drooping" or "memory" from the spots you sleep on, it should defenitely last that long. Now on the other hand....If you're a major tang puller....and your bed is gettin put to the test 3-4 times a week and you're a rough romper......I give your bed 1 to 2 years. Depends.....I say that because just recently I broke my frame and in turn it tore a hole in the mattress!! Go figure. Good luck!!

I'm not sure how long it would last... depends on the quality of the mattress... But if you turn your mattress every 3 - 4 months you will make it last longer.

You can rent an industrial carpet/uphostry steam cleaner from most retail stores for about $20-25. They do come with uphostry attachments you can get for an additional charge around $5. The cleaning products they use are the same that the professionals use and they can be purchased for around $10. So, for about $40, you can rent a steam cleaner and do the work yourself. It is a lot cheaper than hiring someone at an hourly wage an spending hundreds. The equipment is really easy to use and comes with really simple and clear instructions. Good luck! p.s. I would get my sister in law over to help. It's her fault anyway and cleaning can be therapeutic.

That depends on three things, but mainly on two:

quality of mattresses (price & brand name)
wear & tear
individuals who sleep on it (kids are too rough)
