Disable WPA2 possible?

I want to buy the HP wireless printing upgrade kit. However, the HP website says that my router has to support both WPA and WPA2 to use it. Is it possible then for me to disable the WPA2 in the HP wireless printing upgrade kit so that it is compatible with my router? My router currently has no WPA2, it only has WPA.

you should be able too, it would be kind of stupid if HP makes the kit so that it can only be used if you have WPA and WPA2. You will probably have to play with the settings and all, you should contact HP support or sales before you purchase it just to make sure. If anything you can A) Get a new router, or B) Get another compaines wireless printing upgrade kit.
