My dad says that if we don't watch it that it could rip out of the wall. I really don't feel like being bored in the garage and wondered if there was at least a temp. solution to this.

You should evenly distribute your clothes to minimize your washing machine from moving. Also, there should be adjusters on the bottom of your washing machine to level it evenly against the floor.

There are reasons for this happening.
1)-You need to evenly distribute the clothes in the tub, that means don't just throw them in, but layer them evenly.
2)-the Washer is supported by four legs that are threaded so you can adjust them. If the machine isn't level and sitting on all four legs, it will vibrate no matter how careful you are loading the clothes. It can help to put rubber furniture coasters under each leg.
3)Don't overload the machine, and if you can adjust the water level, set it a bit lower.
4) Don't try to sit on the machine or hold it down, you can hurt yourself! The wild vibrations aren't good for the machine either! Make sure that the drain hose and water supply hoses havn't come loose as well, or else you're going to have a flood.

It is unbalanced. Most washers have leveling feet on the bottom. If you stand in front of the washer (empty), lift it a few inches from the floor and drop it back down, it should level itself as it is designed to do. If that doesn't work, get a carpenter's level, put it on the top, have someone lift the washer just a little and another person to turn the levels manually until it is level.

There are little adjustable legs under the washer so lift up the front and screw them in or out to make the machine level. That should stop the shaking unless the load is too heavy and not distributed properly in the machine.

tell your dad he needs to level the machine so that it won't rip out the wall! it's simple to do, he just has to loosen the nuts on the legs and turn the legs in or out until the machine is level side to side and front to back. with whirlpool and kenmore washers you just have to level the front, then tip the machine forward just enough to lift the back legs off the floor and put it back down. good luck!!

Do not overload washer, clothes should be sorted not just according to colors but specially important according to weight. Finally, make sure washer is sitting on a flat surface.

Check the leveling legs at each corner to make sure you're not out of level. They look like little round feet on the bottom of the washer, at each corner. They turn clockwise to shorten.

Usually this is caused by an unbalanced wash load. Try being more careful about how you put your clothes in the washer.
