to some people yes, others enjoy an exchange of thoughts. those closest, seem to take offense with anything, then, silence is golden. Otherwise, new relationships are built on the exchange.

yes, i have found this to be very true. 1. because they say more. 2. because nothing can come back on you. it really depends on the sistutaion.

My grandpa was a man of few words and I asked him why. He said it was because you are accountable for everything you say and he didn't want to be accountable for more than he had to be. Makes sense I suppose.
