It a gateway, and an ipod nano. I am tired of waiting for it to finsih charging then turn off my comp. Can it charge while my laptop if off?

Are you using the same charger/power pack for both items? If you are running your laptop on battery power, then yes, you can recharge your ipod whether your laptop is on of off.

hmm never tried it...maybe with your laptops battery you can but I don't know if the USB will still use power through it after the comp's off....maybe you should just buy a charger that charges your iPod using a wall socket....

i know what you mean! I just bought a DC/USB 2.0 adapter so I can plug my iPod in the wall instead of using a computer
