Naw; after Katrina it would certainly be a "feel good" story, but they just can't compare to San Diego, Baltimore, Indy, or even Chicago. They have done well with what they have, but the clock is striking midnight and its time for cinderella to run on home...

I really do! After seeing them destroy the Cowboys, that proved to me that they are for real. The NFC is pretty weak so almost anybody in the NFC can get to the Super Bowl. Two concerns for the Saints however. #1 Can they beat the Bears if the weather is real cold. Cold weather favors the defense, which favors the Bears. #2 It will be very difficult to beat an AFC team in the Super Bowl, especially the Chargers. This Chargers team however doesn't have any real experience in big games like the Saints, which will favor the underdog team. If the Saints make it, they will be jacked up and could pull off the upset. If they play the Patriots they're a weaker team than the Chargers but have the experience and may even be more difficult to beat. The Colts tend to choke the big games, and have weaknesses on defense. If they play like they did against the Chiefs the Saints have a good chance. But I'm getting ahead of myself. They're going to have to get by the Bears on the road, which will be a big challenge.

I think they stand as good of a chance as any team. I don't know if they'll win the superbowl (I'm sure this year is for the Chargers), but they've already beated the Eagles and the Giants. I think they are capable of beating the Seahawks and the Bears with Peyton's coaching.

This is a team that doesn't give up or get its hopes down until it's over. Regardless, it's been a long 40 years for us Saints fans, and I'm proud of everything they've accomplished this year even if the Saints get blown away in the first playoff game.

Oh Waldo - the way the Superdome is set up, they can simulate any weather condition - so I'm sure they'll practice a lot in cold weather conditions if they get past the first game. :)

not me man, i think eagles or the weak seahawks will put a stop to all that good favor thing the saints are riding on.. not being mean but saints shouldnt be in the playoffs, the defense is crap, the nfc is garbage, they cant handle the eagles or the really weak seahawks i jus dont see it. they lost nearly all their games vs afc...they got lucky with the eagles last time around but now eagles are running the ball and have garcia...sry saints fans they are going to get embarrased. but u say what about reggies bush and the last cpl of games, i say....nfc. goodnite people.

I'm not a big believer, but who else is there. I watched the Bears game vs. the Packers and they sucked! Don't say they didn't have their starters in because they did. They don't have a quarterback. As soon as they get a quarterback, i might start believing. Seattle isn't that great unless they can get on a roll, giants have to shot, Dallas is out. Philly could be the only one who has a chance at knocking off Norleans.

i know I'm being a paranoid conspiracies but i think its odd after 9/11 the patriots won and the whole Superbowl was red white and blue ......even though the patriots were not that good they came out of no where.......now wouldn't be odd because of Katrina and they just reopened the super dome .....that the saints would win and have all that money flow into that city.......just a thought
