One would be "The Shins" for me

The fact is the decade isn't over so I can't say for sure yet. Watch out for these guys to put out some killer music over the next few years and they may pull ahead for me:

Kings of Leon
The Arctic Monkeys

Poets of the Fall. Most Y2K bands stay in the same range with their songs, making it hard to tell one song from the other other. This band tries to seperate their songs much like Heart and the Scorpions (two other bands I like). Beyond that, they made two awesome CDs (which dropped Southern Backtones and Kissing Tigers as my choice). You can see some of Poet of the Fall's videos on youtube.

Killswitch Engage. They brought a completely new dimension to heavy metal. How many Metalcore bands prior sang about heartache and emotions? They are a tight band and every album is better than the one before it without compromising their original formula.
