What will my expenses be? How much money can I realistically make? What is the biggest cause of failure of owning and operating?

Biggest expense is your cab and trailer, followed by maintenance, diesel, trailer plates, registrations. (A CDL if you don't have one.) The pro is that you make more per mile if you own your own truck. Realistically, I can't give you an exact salary. It pays well, especially the farther you drive and if the trailer is loaded there and back. Some additional cons is that it's hard on your personal life since you are gone most of the time if you drive far. You make quite a bit, but the expenses for semi's are more than normal cars and trucks.

Ok my father owns his own truck , he makes over 100,000 no joke, but he has to pay out the *** for gas and insurance and anything else. He says that he would be much happier not having it then he would still owning it. He doesnt get a lot of what he actually makes because it goes into the truck and everything.
