I think it's because the Jet Stream is dipping into the West and rising in the East bringing air from the south instead of from the north and east. Weather goes in waves and the east is in a warm spell. It isn't Global Warming, it doesn't work that fast. . They will get their blizzzard or two before winter ends!!!

isn't it an el nino year? those years, we here in the northeast get some tropical winds, and that makes the weather much warmer
dont' forget, i'm just CERTAIN there was more extreme temperatures back in the thirties or something. they always have crazy temperature extremes. i don't know how they always beat our current conditions when it seems so crazy now sometimes
