I think exercise is probably the best way to try to tighten it up, other than plastic surgery. How much it will tighten up depends on how much weight you gained during pregnancy, your age, whether you smoke, if your skin doesn't have a lot of elasticity, how big the incision was...lots of factors.

I've heard that sometimes when you have a second c-section, the doctor can sometimes cut out an unsightly scar...I don't know if they could take out excess skin too.

I think it may depend on how much elasticity you have left in your skin there and whether the c-sect was vertical or horizontal. My friend had one...horizontal... she was able to loose hers...mine was vertical and I never could because they actually cut down through the all the muscles from the navel down as opposed to through just one or two muscles horizontally. Plus I lost most of my elasticity because my baby was so big and I carried all in the front. So in some cases the only hope is for a tummy tuck which is costly and not without its risks.

Well, it could, just depending on your size, and how long it's been since you have had the baby. If it doesn't go away you could try to exercise it away and turn it in to muscle, but you know muscle weighs a little more than pudge.Either way you will always have a little pudge if anything.

i had a c-section and it does go away. i didn't gain any extra weight when i was pregnant and i did start exercising again (i have always exercised but took it real easy while pregnant) about 6 or 7 weeks after my son was born. you gotta think about how stretched out your tummy gets when your pregnant. it just takes time to get back to normal. also you can use skin firming lotion to help.

What's "access" skin? Oh! You mean "excess" don't you? I had a c-section and didn't have that. Ask your ob/gyn.

Well that is a muscle that they cut, and its very hard to get back they way you were. Trust me I have 2 girls.
