Either in a college dorm or an apartment. I know lots of college students have roommates. Did you have a horrible experience you wanna share?

Ohh, this is one of my favorite stories (a story is really the only positive thing I got out of it). Lol.

My first roommate (we're both male) was a pretty smart guy really into math and science (and pretty mediocre at everything else). He also seemed fairly normal. But about two months in, he got into bondage/BDSM (so this isn't adult content, look it up if you don't know what it is) with members of both sexes. He also thought it was fine to involve my furniture (particularly the desk/bedpost) in the process and to hold sessions w/o telling me.

He also would usu. be out 'til 4-o'-clock in the morning and then come in, take his plastic crate for laundry off his bed and drop it on the floor (about a six foot drop). When he was in the room, he'd constantly play video games at full volume or listen to musicals, often simultaneously (one particularly memorable moment was when he was playing Counterstrike and had Sir Spam-a-lot the musical going on his stereo). He never understood the concept of headphones (I offered to give some to him).

Needless to say, this did not amuse me nor did him taking stuff off my desk for his own use (hopefully non-BDSM) and then not putting it back.

To top it all off, he was convinced that I loved him (in both an emotional and sexual way). What a weird, weird guy.

I moved out after one semester with a much nicer and more "normal" roommate.

My worst roommate became an alcoholic. He became a buddy of my boyfriend's from many years in the past. interior the year and a 1/2 that he lived with us he went through seven different jobs. One time he were given fired on the perfect day of the month and then claimed that he did not have lease because he had lost his pastime. apparently he became going to make $400 in 3 days. He became also a slob, truly with dishes. I under no circumstances talked about him placed a dish interior the dishwasher. also, he would attempt to maintain funds through turning the A/C off and starting his window and the door to the balcony. which may were fantastic, yet a.) he under no circumstances paid the flexibility bill besides, and b.) we were in Alabama and it became summer season, so it became 80 stages in our house and it became packed with mosquitos. He also under no circumstances offered groceries (i'm happy i'm not the basically one which has resorted to hiding the rest room paper) And he would drink any alcohol that we skipped over. My boyfriend, who's interpreting to be a chef, made bananas foster, it really is a flaming dessert, so it makes use of a few tablespoons of Bacardi 151. The liquor save did not have minis of 151, so we offered a pint, the smallest bottle that they had. 2 days later our roommate drank something else of the bottle. (really all of it.) The worst section though, became that once he were given really less than the effect of alcohol he would typically bypass out and pee on himself. We had to throw away one among our couches because of this. there is more desirable, yet i'm drained of typing now.

It's been a long while since college but I still remember clearly my worst. It was my first year being away from home and I still hadn't gotten used to it so I would stay over at another friend's room who came from my hometown. One day when I came back to that room I found my stuff outside. It had been put there by her other roommate. I understand that I was spending too much time there but I think they could have been more diplomatic about it. I was really hurt. My friend just stood there and didn't say anything.

My worst roommate experience happened clear back in my first quarter of college in January, 1971. I was paired with a seemingly nice student from Iran who had been living in this particular dorm for several months. We got along fine for a few days, but then we had a disagreement over his playing loud music while I was trying to study in the evenings. He continually refused to turn down his music when I asked him politely, so rather than create an incident I of course went to my local friendly Dorm Assistant.

Well....he went to my roommate and proceeded to verbally tear him a new one, if you catch my drift. It seems this individual had been a pain in the DA's side several times prior to my arrival, and this instance of misbehavior set the supervisor off on one heck of a tirade for which I, I deduced later, was blamed by my Iranian sidekick.

That night, about an hour after the lights had gone out, this insomniac was just about to drift off to sleep when a sudden "Thud!" caused me to jump up and turn on my nearby lamp. It seems my roommate had been approaching me in the dark WITH A KNIFE IN HIS HAND and had accidentally hit his knee on the corner of my bed. HE THEN TRIED TO TELL ME HE WAS JUST GOING TO GO OVER TO HIS DESK AND CUT HIMSELF AN APPLE! IN THE DARK, NO LESS! Hmmmm...

Needless to say, I left and notified the DA, who called the campus police, and before the sun rose again, I had a new roommate.

I do, however, want to say right now that I made a great many friends with the numerous Iranian students; this particular individual had threatened and intimidated many of them, as well. He was soon headed back to Tehran, so I looked up in the sky, smiled, and gave a silent thanks to my gaurdian angel, Mort, for keeping me out of harms way! :-)

My first college roommate kept old pizza boxes under her bed, stole my cigarettes and used my towels after I used them, and left them on the floor in the bathroom.
She couldn't understand why I couldn't live with her.
We lasted 2 months.

I came back one day and there was my roommate's used tampon sitting on my desk...

I thought it was a dead animal.

We're no longer roommates.
