dont go for hp as all it's reputation is only because of jype. and their cartridges are very expensive too. u can go for canon as it offers maximum functionality for minimum price. and it's catridges are reasonable

just bought an all in 1 today for the first time. a Lexmark 1270 on sale at best buy for 49.99. did not know that power cords do not come with the printer so that was a surprising additional 32 dollars. But brought it home and my husband and I, who are new to computers and fairly computer illiterate, hooked it up with ease and it works. we have copied, scanned, printed, sent pics and graphics in an e-mail. I don't know the difference in name brands like hp or etc, i just know that mine was economical and it works great. good luck and sorry if that was rambling

For four to six thousand rupees you can find a good 4 in one printer/scanner/fax/copier. GO for HP or Canon

These units are abundant & inexpensive whether HP, Canon or Lexmark.

My advice is to research the cost & yield of the consumables (ink or toner) before buying anything. Many bargain units will get you when you have to replace an ink cartidge.

Local resellers like Best Buy often have killer deals ... regularly check them online for the best price.

HP has some good ones. My printers last for many years from them

Look at their PSC "all in one" printers. I have a wireless network printer and can print/scan/fax from any PC in the house plus use it for a copier.

Go for multi function why for single function..As per my experiences and knowledge for all home users Canon MP-160 & all their series will be better choice. It gives you Best Quality with cheaper solution. I preferred canon cause it's cartridge comes cheaper than HP or any other & you get superior Professional Photo Lab Quality prints...Never miss to check that out....!!!
