I would go for the hot grits the grease will be harder to clean up afterwards.

Why don't you talk it out with your mother-in-law over a hot bowl of grits? (YUM! I love grits)
If talk doesn't work then resort to hot grease :)

Depends.... I swear some mother-in-laws are witches. So, throwing grits or anything else for that matter will do nothing. Your best bet is hire an exorcist.

I pour mune down the sink only with hot water running and keep it running for a bit If you like birds I have poured it into a square container & mixed corn meal and bird seed and make my own suet the woodpeckers love it. you could also just pour it in a container when it is cool enough but still liquid and screw the lid on and toss itin the garbage ( a coffee can works great) it also doesnt have to be cool cause its metal.

Depends on how much you hate her. Hot grease if you really hate her guts. It will inflict more pain & suffering.
