The last week of pills are inactive. They are only there to keep you on track by taking one pill a day.It doesn't matter whether you take them or not,as long as you start the next pack of pills on the right day.I haven't taken the last week of pills for years.Taking them or not taking them has no effect whatsoever.Your gf is fine by not taking them if that is what she chooses to do.

Look, I do the same thing and it's okay. They are just sugar pills. They have nothing in them. As far as I know, there are no effects.

Also, it takes about 3 months for the hormones from the pills to completely leave the body, so no worries if you are really careful.

They are pretty much placebo or sugar pills and they are exactly what she says. They are there to keep you in the habit of taking your pills for the week you are not taking the hormones. And she can get pregnant, so use a condom - that should be your first concern, not your last.

Yes, it's fine not to take the reminder pills as long as she remembers to take the other pills correctly.
No effects.

I never take my reminder pills either.

I think that just means she's skipping her period. She shouldn't do that more than twice in a row. Nothing should happen to her.

She's right - don't worry about it.
