1. You can have any number of IP on one computer. Even one Ethernet card can have any number of IPs 2. does it keep the same IP address or uses a different IP address? It is you to decide to keep or change. If you move to a different network you may have to change the IP. It is like your home address. Imagine you moved your home from one town to another. 3. How do I find out what network I'm connected to? No single simple answer here. You may have to start by asking the person responsible for your network.

type 'ipconfig' on the command prompt. That is the IP address assigned to your PC. If you have a router set up on your network, this IP address may not be the IP address on the Internet. In that case, you open the set up page of your router which usually shows what IP has been assigned to your network.

To find your Internet IP address, go to http://www.whatismyip.com . To find your LAN IP address, click Start | Run then type in CMD and hit enter. In the command window, type in IPCONFIG and it will give you the LAN IP. Good luck.

Your IP address will show.

Second way go to run and type cmd hit enter
when the command prompt comes up type in ipconfig

Go to the command prompt (Start>Run>cmd.exe) Then type in ipconfig/all in the box. It comes up with all the stuff for your computer (IP/network/etc).

go to start and click run; in run u type cmd and click ok; next u type ipconfig and press enter' u will get ur ip address
