No matter how good they are like Steve Nash(6'3) or John Stockton(6'1) they will just be remembered as a great point guard thats all... They will never get mentioned in the same breath as Jordan,Kobe or Lebron...

Thats not cool. Players like Iverson, and Nash do some pretty amazing things. If you don't have a point guard, or someone to distribute/ bring up the ball, then every game would just be a All-Star game. How can you hate on Steve Nash, who isn't that athletic, was a soccer player, has some crazy skills, assists -sometimes just straight impressive passes, can shoot the ball, and has a really high free throw percentage.

Look at players like Shaq, he's 7'2" and a good player, but he is the last person, except maybe Ben Wallace I would want shooting a free throw with the game on the line.

Also, there are some players who can dunk just as well as the taller ones, and a short man rising up is more impressive than a giant not having to jump at all.

He isn't a NBA player, but look at And1 players like The Air Up There. The only person I've ever seen do a 720 (go to And1.com and you can see it) and he is only 6'2". Tell me that isn't impressive. Most likely the other best dunker on And1 is Spyda and he is just 5'10".

And Kobe, Jordan and LeBron will never get mentioned in the same breath as Russell, Chamberlain and Abdul-Jabbar, so what's your point? What's wrong with being remembered as a great point guard, which is arguably the most important position on most teams? The point is the floor general, he directs the offense, he sets up the rest of the team. Without Steve Nash, no one would be talking about the Suns, without John Stockton, the Jazz wouldn't have had all the good years they had. The level of point guard play can make or break a team.

Don't disrespect the little man.

To be honest the nba is considered the best players in the world but to me they are the best players in the world that are very tall. I know it might not make sense what i said but think about it. You take the best players like Kobe, Dewayne Wade, Carmelo etc.. You can go to any playground or gym and find a handful of players with the same skills. The only difference is that he might not be six foot seven. He might be five seven or five nine. Look at Shaq, if a person says that he have skills then he knows nothing about basketball. Basically the average man do not get this tall. Iverson would be kind of tall for the average man. So I will always give shorter players (that are good) more credit because they are doing the same thing the taller players are doing.

I disagree. Some of the best players in the league have been smaller the 6'4. A Jordan, Kobe or Lebron comes along every 5 - 10 years. They are not your average NBA players.

not agree, I think nobody will be mentioned in the same breath as Jordan. Not even Kobe, Lebron or whomever. Because nobody actually have 6 rings, yet.
I mean, you can be Earl Boykins or Yao Ming but eventually if you don't have 6 rings you'll never be in the same breath as Jordan.

Btw, I'm a Kobe fan...

I can't Agree to that because AI, Steve Nash, and Jerry Stockton are Ballin'

Spud Webb was 5"6 and in the NBA. He could dunk too so don't hate on the Shorty: http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=Spud+Webb

Size doesn't matter. If you got the goods, people will notice you. I went to high school with a guy who played point guard(5'11") and he was one of the best players. He matched the other teams' speed. I also went to school with a guy who played post(6'11") and he was also one of the best players but he didn't have the speed because of how tall he is.

jordan, kobe, and lebron play a different position that fans classify as flashy and cool. it really depends on the player as well. 6'4'' has nothing to do with it. it's all about the player and what he can do on the court.

i disagree, size doesnt matter in the nba. and take note, nash has won two mvp awards while kobe still has none. i think it is kobe who will never get mentioned in the same breath as nash.
