So you're telling that you would like to marry a Philippine woman because you're sure that they would do everything you want for them!
Don't try to underestimate Filipina's . . . you should know that if Filipina's would read your question they would absolutely get angry with you!

I don't think subservient is the right word. American men are not looking for a slave (feminist have brainwashed you into thinking that's what it should be called) look at how they changed the wording from Home maker to house wife. Kinda sounds like the racist term house ni**** .

Here is the problem me and my friends see. This I'll never be June cleaver attitude while still wanting their husbands to be traditional as in bring in all the money and paying for everything. Heck they even have a name for them now Domestic Divas. Women in this country hold it as a badge of honor they don't know how to cook or clean or do laundry. My friends are not against women working wed love for our wives to work but we make enough money that they don't need to so they choose not to but they also chose not to do any of the things a home maker wife should.

I'm lucky I'm Japanese and I married a Japanese woman but let me tell you my friends are all jealous of me. My wife isn't a slave I don't make her do anything or demand that she does anything she sees it as I fulfill my job in the family she fulfills hers.

I seriously doubt Ill ever get divorced but I'll say this Ill never marry an American woman. Its kinda sad most American woman have priced themselves out of the market.

What really amazes me is that here we are in 2007 and women in this country still believe that marriage is nothing more than "The Patriarchy" keeping women under mens control and that the only reason men marry is to control women and turn them into "slaves".

This was just written last year

In her appearance on "Good Morning America," Hirshman attacked the notion that women can feel fulfilled and validated in the calling of motherhood. As the ABC report indicates, "Hirshman says working is also a matter of feeling fulfilled. She doesn't buy into the arguments of many homemakers who say taking care of the family is the most fulfilling thing they could imagine." Hirshman's response is a demonstration of breathtaking arrogance. "I would like to see a description of their daily lives that substantiates that position," she said. "One of the things I've done working on my book is to read a lot of the diaries online, and their description of their lives does not sound particularly interesting or fulfilling for a complicated person, for a complicated, educated person."

Get that? Hirshman is telling America's moms that their work is fundamentally unimportant, uninteresting, and fundamentally unworthy of any "complicated" and "educated" person.

Women who stay at home with their children, turning their back on promising careers, "are letting down the team," she asserts. They are rejecting the very feminist ideal that the radical ideologues have adopted and they are undermining the cause of all women, in Hirshman's condescending view.

Make no mistake--Hirshman does not want women to have any real choice in the matter. "Choice feminism" is an abysmal failure, in her view, because it validates what should never be validated--motherhood.

Kumusta ka?

LOL..what David said...DON'T make em angry!! Yes, I DO think Filipinas serve their husbands well. But when their husbands are gone....LOL...

But really...why do you seem to want a servant? Yes, I think people not born in the United States seem to be more respectful to their husbands...by that I mean, that they are taught to do the laundry, to cook all the meals, to clean the house...all for the man. They also seem to be more respectful of their elders. Oh...what that would be like...to have kids be respectful, ya know? LOL..

I have to admit, that I like having a man that shares household chores and treats his lady with respect. Love is a powerful thing...I wonder if you'll ever experience it. Apparently you haven't or you wouldn't be asking this kind of question.

That said...Are their any positive reasons to marry an American man?
It's sad...ALL American women get bad names from the actions of the few.
Thanks a lot, ladies.

Any man who wants a subservient woman is a big blubbering vagina. You only want someone subservient because you're not a strong enough male. LOSER.
By the way, Filipino women are battle axes... I think you're thinking of Koreans or Thai.

HAH!!! You haven't listened to many philipino women speaking to their husbands have you???

They serve in family and home because, unlike the majority of american women, they find this to be a role of honour and virtue, and they are actually awarded higher status for it.....

I work in a law office in Canada and have done up many prenups for men getting mail order brides, and nine times out of ten (I can safely quote that!!!) the man is a social nincumpoop who thinks he is getting some meek woman and the woman ends up controlling everything.

Philipino women realize a relationship is tit for tat, and as much as the "man" may bring home the bacon....the woman is essentially in charge of everything else,

hey, are you looking for a wife or a servant? American women are subservient. It's just that, men like you don't know how to make them submit effectively. You're a DUD, dude!

You got to be kidding. Are their any postive reasons to marry an American woman? How about we think for ourselves? We want to make a life for ourself and not rely on some men to give us everything we want in life. If you want a slave instead of a wife, don't marry an American woman.

Most American women aren't afraid to speak their mind most of the time. Furthermore, it's ridiculous to want a woman just because she's obediant.

Asian and polynesian cultures teach their children to be extremely respectful. More so that Americans do. So if you are confusing respect with subserience, be very careful. And if you think they are subservient, do not ever make a philippino girl angry.
