I just installed my dvd rom and now its not reading dvd roms or cd-roms wats wrong?? help please!!!!!!!!

Sounds like it might be upper and lower filters.
Run System Restore and create a restore point, then very carefully follow these instructions on this webpage. Or if you wish to try instead, uninstall and reinstall your CD/DVD burnnig software first.

Did you set the jumper on the back of the drive? If you are trying to play anything but windows junk, you probably need a video codec. K-Lite has a good one. And if you REALLY want results, download video lan.

-Check Internal connections
-Reinstall software
-Update drivers by going to MY COMPUTER, then PROPERTIES, select DEVICE MANAGER and you'll get a new window pop up...find your new internal DVD drive, right click and click UPDATE drivers
And if that doesn't help then I don't know what you've done wrong!

ifs its new then u proly didnt install it rite recheck ur connections
