I agree with a possible change of the formula, if he is bottle feed. If he is breast feed, mom needs to watch what she is eating. No onions, cauliflower, cabbage and veggies that are gassy. Try burping him. Is his bowl movement regular?

These are things to consider. Your medical insurance carrier may have a medical nurse to call for Q&A's.

Good lunk.

Probably it isn't gas, probably it is more teeth or growing pains.

Though I really hate giving anything to my baby I find one dose of tylenol can really make night-time livable during these periods. And tylenol is non-sedating so if it works I can only attribute it to pain relief. I use it whenever my baby is up more than 6 times in two hours and nothing else works.

I also have a spitter, it's most likely completely unrelated. However *IF* your baby sleeps in a crib you could try to prop it up at a 10-15 degree angle by placing books or blocks under the legs of one end. However, with a 7 month old I don't know how practical that would be as they can shift the crib a fair bit. You should never use pillows or anything in the crib or under the mattress to prop up a baby.

Putting the crib on a slight angle helps both with heartburn and congestion.

If you think this would help you could always screw blocks of wood the bottom of two legs.

He maybe teething and there are all sorts of things that you could either rub on his gums or let him chew on, but my girls didn't like those things. They used warm, wet wash clothes. It can get messy but it helped. Has be been having regular bms? He could also just be change his sleeping habits. My youngest always did. For a few weeks she would sleep all night and then get up ever few hours, but it did almost always happen when she was teething. Good luck and take a nap when you can.

Gas drops worked wonders on my little gassy baby. He is now 3 years old and still burps like a mad man. Simethicone is the active ingredient in infant gas drops. It works great and it's not bad for them at all. They sell it at all grocery stores and drug stores, it's usually on the diaper aisle but sometimes it's with the adult tums and rolaids-type stuff.

Best of luck with your little boy and keep your chin up, you're doing a great job!!

He could be allergic to his formula, teething, or have Reflux.
He could be waking at night because he is not getting enough food. Are you feeding him cereal?
If he is growing, don't worry too much.
