Groom your pet often.
Vacuum, dust (especially high areas or behind/around furniture) and then vacuum again.
Change your furnace filters often too.

You'll never get rid of it all, just one of the joys of having a pet :) I have a lint roller in every room of the house.

Yep, the first 2 answers are right ... a lint brush for your clothes and furniture, and brush, brush, brush your dog outside ... I'd recommend everyday. I have 3 dogs, one of which is an EXTREME heavy shedder. I pull enough undercoat off her every single to day to build my own puppies! I have to vacuum every single day and I STILL have dog hair everywhere. I keep my furniture covered with sheets and keep the dogs out of the car unless I absolutely have to take them somewhere. I keep my clothes in the closet and never allow a dog in there. Your dog is likely 'blowing coat' ... most do at least once a year, and may or may not shed heavily throughout the year. If your dog is doublecoated, invest in an undercoat rake ... you can buy it at any pet store. You won't believe how much dead coat that little tool will remove. I've also heard raves about the 'Furminator' but have not tried it myself.

I have a cat that leaves hair everywhere too. I went to the pet store or even the grocery store in the pet dept and bought a special sponge for pet hair. You don't wet it, just use it dry and it works wonders. For the very fine stuff, I use a lint brush to finish up with. Hope that helps.

Groom that dog, and brush excess hair outside. Finally, limit his space in the house so hair will not end up in you food.

You could try grooming your dog more often. I do love my swiffer sweeper/vac. Otherwise, it is just one of the things you gotta live with when you are a pet owner. I always said cat hair was a condiment in my house.

There really is no way of getting around it because I have two golden retrievers that I call my "hair machines." Brushing your dog everyday helps a lot. good luck!
