Been broke up for 8 years. I tried to forget him. Get him out of my heart. But it won't leave. He's always in my dreams and they feel so real. What's wrong with me. He was my first true love. I really want to get him out of my heart, mind and dreams. What you think, am I really that nuts?

No ur not....You are just clinging to that idea.....when i broke up with my first serious relationship 10 years ago, i thought no other men could take his place...everything has to do with his smiles, jokes,sense of humour etc....I was dreaming about us still and my diary will never skip a month without his name on it.....he was my one and only love...but that was before i meet him again after 10 years....I couldnt believe my eyes that it was him...I hugged him as tight as i could and we started telling our life stories....Sooo many things have changed.....When I got home that night, I was surprised to realized that I dont love him anymore....It was just the idea of the past that i was clinging on....and I was so thankful that we met again and became friends somehow....After that incident, all my relationships became better and my diary has skipped his name for more than a year now...I didnt remember him since until now....

love can hurt and your first love you will always remember. even in ten years you will proably still love him. but your life will go on. just as his is. i lost the love of my life and it hurts still everyday. but i am also in the beginning of this part of life everyone goes thru this... i try not to think about him... i look forward instead of backwards sometimes it is hard cuz he should still be apart of that but no one can promise you tomorrow. you need to get your mind clear go out and kick it with your best friends try to met new people ( maybe even a man) you need to move on badly... i know easier said then done but it can be done wit some effort. take time off work or whatever take a road trip something anything!
