I am a fan of Clay's, mainly for his unbelievable voice. I truly think he deserved to win the American Idol second season, but the proof of the pudding is in how many songs he's sold over and beyond Ruben.
As far as the Kelly Ripa incident is concerned, answer this question: if it were Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughy, or George Cloony placing their hand over her mouth, would she have reacted the same way? Think about it ...
In summary, I truly like Clay and his amazing voice (but I don't care much for his latest hairdresser!).
