Yes...Apple had to do that to "prevent" music piracy.

Now I understand there are alternatives, but I can't say (conflict of interest, and all that...).

Unfortunately yes. But you can sync multiple Ipods to a single computer/Itunes account if thats any consolation

actually if u try it even with 2 diffrent users of the same pc it regects it
u can but the name u gave ur ipod at 1st will be erased and u will have to rename it everytime
so bad idea
actually whenever the ipod recognizes a new itunes library it effects it in some way so it reacts.

Depends. Are you trying to take songs from two computers, or are you trying to get songs from your iPod to another computer?

If you're trying to take songs from two computers you can sign into your account and authorize the computer.

If you're trying to get songs from your ipod to another computer, than you can authorize ipod.

P.S. I'm not sure if all this is possible

yes, and don't try to use more than one computer. It may erase songs you already have on your ipod.
